Golfing in Maui Hawaii

The weather in Maui Hawaii is great for Maui golfing all year round. The beautiful scenery sets the state for breath taking views while you play the game you love. There is a large variety of golf courses and designers in Maui. It's almost as if all the island were created just for the glorification of the sport. No wonder the finest Jack Nicklaus, Robert Trent Jones Jr., Ben Crenshaw, Arnold Palmer, and Greg Norman designed beautiful courses here.

With more than a dozen great Maui golf courses to choose from, Maui has become one of the most popular golf resorts in the world. Every year Mercedes Benz Golf Championship takes place in one of the world's famous Golf Courses, Kapalua Plantation. Here you will find list of the major Golf Courses on Maui.

List of popular Maui Golf Courses:

Kaanapali North Maui Golf Course - The Kaanapali north Golf Course was designed in 1962 by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and is home to the Senior PGA Tour's Hyatt Regency Maui Kaanapali Classic. This Maui golf course climbs into the heights behind Kaanapali and finishes down near the ocean.

Makena North & South Maui Golf Courses - Located just south of Wailea, the North course plays into the foothills of Mount Haleakala with excellent views of neighboring islands of Molokini, Kahoolawe and Lanai. The South Maui golf course features some of the most beautiful ocean-front holes as well as exquisite views and tree-lined fairways. The North and South Maui golf courses were ranked 9th and 10th, respectively, in Hawaii by Golf Digest.

Wailea Blue/Gold/Emerald Maui Golf Courses - The Wailea Blue Course, designed by Arthur Jack Snyder in 1972, is a true resort course featuring fountains and lakes while meandering amongst beautiful million-dollar private homes, upscale condominiums and spacious homesites. The Wailea Gold golf Course is 7,070 yards and was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The course features tight fairways, dramatic elevation changes with magnificent views and strategically placed bunkers as well as prehistoric lava rock walls built by early Hawaiians. Like the Maui Gold golf Course, the Emerald Course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. featuring magnificent views and undulating terrain. Unlike the Gold's rugged character, the Emerald is akin to a lush, tropical Maui golf playground.

Kapalua Plantation/Bay/Village Maui Golf Courses - The Plantation golf course is the new host of the Kapalua International Golf Tournament. Measuring 7,263 yards and designed by Ben Crenshaw, the Plantation showcases beautiful ocean views and every hole is a challenge. The Bay Maui golf course opened in 1975 and was designed by Arnold Palmer. The Bay Maui golf course is 6,761 yards with two ocean holes that offer the ultimate in coastline beauty. The 6,632 yard, Arnold Palmer-designed Village course has six holes straight uphill and nine straight down, the latter of which offers some incredible views the ocean.

Needless to say you'll find it all in Maui golf with many fabulous Maui golf courses to choose from. Happy golfing !
